Blog Watching

The more I use Typepad, the site that hosts and allows me to publish this blog, the more I like it. I've just discovered that Typepad automatically generates RSS syndication files for all my posts. This means it's possible to view these posts in applications other than a web browser - and have these applications pull new posts to you automatically rather than you having to keep checking back manually. These applications are known as aggregators - the most popular of which are FeedDemon and NewsGator. However even the professional version of Trillian, the instant messaging client, supports RSS news feeds, and I'm sure other applications (Microsoft Outlook?) will support them in time too.

If you want to start using one of these clients to pull the posts from this blog, the URL you need is in the 'Syndicate this site' link in the sidebar. Just be aware that these aggregators won't show you the other content on here - the lists in the sidebar or any new photos I may post.
