The Cable Guy

Kudos to Cablevision. It's a Sunday afternoon and their guy has just turned up to give us digital cable.

OK, so he was supposed to be here at 2pm yesterday afternoon. But while war vets are still waiting for their regular cable service to be restored in the wake of Fabian, we felt we were lucky to be getting digital at all. Especially on a Saturday, when it's normally almost impossible to get anything done in Bermuda.

And then there we were out in our yard when the cable guy calls to apologise for not making it yesterday and asking if it would be OK if he came round in 5 minutes instead! On a Sunday!

I don't know why people here complain about Cablevision so much. You'd be lucky to get service for such a non-essential service on a Sunday in the UK, never mind Bermuda.

Feel bad for that war vet though.
