Wilful Exaggeration
I try to keep this site Bermuda-focused and avoid posting on international affairs. But after watching last night's interview of George Bush by ABC correspondent Diane Sawyer, I can't restrain myself. Anyone who didn't see it should check out the transcript. It would be funny if the issues weren't so serious.
Pressed hard by Sawyer about the allegations that evidence of the existence of WMD was exaggerated before the war, Bush kept dodging the question responding only
Saddam was a danger and the world is better off cause we got rid of him.
When Sawyer finally pinned him down, exasperated he came out with this gem:
DIANE SAWYER: But stated as a hard fact, that there were weapons of mass destruction as opposed to the possibility that he could move to acquire those weapons...PRESIDENT BUSH: So what's the difference?
I almost spat out the mouthful of tea I was drinking.
How the Americans can trust a man who has no problem presenting a possibility as a fact is beyond me. If that's not wilful exaggeration I don't know what is.

Heah Phil---you do have a Bush thing doing on. Remember though he can't tell the difference between fact or fiction....it's a mental limitation thing. He may be gone in a year however it would appear that luck follows his shadow so you may have to be patient and wait FOUR MORE YEARS---Meanwhile East accross the Atlantic how do you rate young Tony's chances. Would you vote Labour again? Maybe you are True Blue !! Nothing like a walk in the wilderness. ^..^

Remember Phil, it was the minority of those voting that voted FOR him.
