The Joy Of Dialup

Our DSL connection has gone on the blink.

As we can't connect to either our Northrock or Logic account it seems safe to conclude the problem is with the line, so I called BTC at 7pm this evening, just on the off-chance someone would be there. To my great surprise, there was. I explained the problem with the hope of a speedy resolution rising within me.

"So, someone will take a look - what, tomorrow?" I suggested. I was going to say "this evening", but I thought that might be pushing my luck.

"Oh, I can't guarantee that," the BTC lady replied. "Possibly sometime this week."

Excellent. I knew there was a good reason we pay them $89 per month for a DSL-capable line.

In the meantime, it's back to the joys of 56k dialup.
