A Room With A View

Ashfield DeVent's Housing PlanI've just discovered where Housing Minister Ashfield DeVent is planning to put the portable homes he recently announced he was bringing in to accommodate Bermuda's homeless.

Kindley Field Road.

BEAT THE RUSH TO SOUTHSIDE! Lovely waterside home, suitable for young couple. Easy access to public transportation. Available to non-Bermudians. No agents please. $1,200,000.

Are you serious or just kidding?

If that was indeed the plan:

1. Won't that look GREAT for all the tourists flying in and having those homes be the first thing they see of Bermuda. They could even pick out what kind of panties the female occupants have on their washing line.

2. I think that road is what...about 12 inches above sea level? lol.... The airport was under water during Fabian.

Silly silly people.

Ace - I was kidding. At least, I hope I was.

Anyone know what that hut's really for? It's been there for over a week now.

my best guess would be a concession stand of some kind ?

and while i'm here- any word from the minister on how hurricane / freak winter storm proof these portable homes are?
