Poll Of The Week
I'm trying out a free service that I discovered this morning which makes it easy for me to have polls on the site, something I've wanted to do for a long time. If it works well, these are likely to become a regular feature.
The polls aren't bullet-proof and if you want to engage in ballot-stuffing, those of you with a little technical knowledge won't find it too difficult. I just ask that you please refrain from doing so.
To start the ball rolling, I'm asking who you think would be the best leader of the PLP. While Alex Scott has been away on holiday, there have been several acting Premiers and I found myself fantasising about how different Bermuda would be if someone else was in the top job.
My selection of names is inevitably arbitary. If there's another sitting PLP MP you think should be in charge, feel free to post a comment here saying who it is and why you would choose them.

Perhaps I could suggest adding Derrick Burgess' name to your list - he is definitely the man with the most power in Bermuda at the moment.
I constantly ponder whether being President of the BIU and a elected MP is not a conflict of interest.

Who voted for Ashfield? I mean really....the man is a total beginner in politics and someone is suggesting he should be the Premier?
Methinks Ashfield has been trolling these boards.
lol.

I did think about putting Derrick Burgess' name on the list but decided to favour members and ex-members of Cabinet instead. Unfortunately I can't add his name now polling has started (and I'm limited to a maximum of 10 options per poll), but if anyone wants to vote for him, just post a comment here.

I've found a new poll provider (sparklit.com)which gives me more flexibility that pollhost.com did. As such, I've switched.
I've modified the poll to add the name of every sitting PLP MP or Senator, while retaining the existing votes cast for all except 'none of the above'. If you previously voted for 'none of the above', please vote again. If you didn't, please don't.
Note that comments can now be added either here or on the poll results screen itself (which you may find useful for future polls that don't have an associated post).
