Relating To Our Youth
Jon Brunson and Gina Spence-Farmer are asking for Bermuda's young people to include them in their activities.
“Invite us to your youth nights, your meetings, your performances, anything,” Mrs. Spence-Farmer said.
Rumours that the pair have since been invited to participate in a drug deal on Court Street and an attempt to steal a motorbike were denied by a UBP spokesmani

Be nice Limey, that one may hit too close to home for some people's joke-o-meter. (and no, I am not complaining here - I am just familiar with the dramatis personae)
;-)
Do you like the www.borowitzreport.com format by the way. That is what this reminded me of. It is a daily stop for me as I push through the drudgery.

"that one may hit too close to home for some people's joke-o-meter."
Ah, yes, good point, Jake. I hadn't thought of that until you brought it up.
Well, the good thing is that this project is sure to be a roaring success. Certainly, when I was a teenager, my friends and I were practically BEGGING the middle-aged to come and hang out with us. ;-)

Borowitz is very funny. For more down market distractions try http://maddox.xmission.com/ or http://www.tuckermax.com/stories.html

I have to admit, I do find http://www.tuckermax.com/stories.html very, very amusing. He hasn't updated it in a while, though. Start with the 'classic stories' first. The more you read it, the more you realise that, no, he's not making these stories up - he really is that much of a jerk. WARNING: some of the stories are not for the faint of heart, by any means.

"As Louise Jackson is to seniors, so Jon Brunson and Gina Spence-Farmer plan to be to Bermuda’s young people."
If Jon and Gina can do half what Louise Jackson has done for young people they will have done well!
My kids went to her dance school for most of their younger years and were influenced by the lady and the interaction with a broad section of kids.

Very funny...really. Nice to return home after 5 years and find there are a few people left with a sense of humour.... as regards this article... the youth should represent the youth... youth government - not these old farts...this is a dubious decision given that most of the young people simply want to be allowed to do what adults do before they legally can and of course, the youth can't vote. Backfire is the word that springs to mind...

Since when in Bermuda have any of the adults grown up?I'm sure the dynamic duo can bond with all Bermuda's youth at any football game. All they have to do is bring their stash and share.^..^

Bullshit. What Louise Jackson did for seniors was latch for her dear political life as she bantered on about Cuba. If anything it is obvious that Mrs Jackson held onto the shirt tails of Hillary Soars and Keeetha Lowe who really raised the torch on seniors issues. In true UBP style she pulled herself up while making the real pioneers sit down.
Get you facts straight.
