The Speed Limit Today Is...

Stuart Hayward recently complained that part of the reason speeding is so prevalent on Bermuda's roads is that no-one really knows what the speed limit is. He speculated that, as evidenced by court convictions, the de facto limit is currently around 62 kph.

According to today's Royal Gazette, however, it's no faster than 55 kph.

Isn't it daft that we have to try and work this out for ourselves, though?

We have a speed limit?

Idiots! You know the speed limit. Eight deaths so far this year and every one of them involving speed. What is wrong with you?

Sadly, the speed limit will be the speed at which it's enforced. Just human nature.

$200 for 55kph??? sneeze... Jeez those court people are getting soft.

Fortunately I do not risk my life and limb by going that fast anymore; but back in the day when I had a good tail wind and was going down a steep hill I could hit that... :)
