Caption Competition #10 Winners

This week's caption competition featured Minister of Works and Engineering (and ex-cannabis smoker) Ashfield DeVent during his recent appeal for Bermudians to conserve water.

The winners were:

First: Smokey - Hmmm.....How can I make this into a bong?

Second: Two Cents - Minister DeVent confirms the PLP have finally found something to offer in support of their claims of transparency in their Government.

Third: ours not to reason why - Ashfield presents what was initially discovered after undergoing a brain transplant earlier today.

Honourable mention:

Advocatus Diaboli - Minister Devent consults his crystal bong

There'll be another picture for you to caption next Friday.

I'm sorry I didn't realize that one's appearance (ie., locks) and past indiscretions dictates how that individual fulfills his/her's political responsibility to advise the country on how to conserve water.

If this is the case, then perhaps the American people should reconsider there decision to re-elect a rehabilitated crack-head!

At least Minister DeVent actually knows what he is talking about. Go figure!

"At least Minister DeVent actually knows what he is talking about. Go figure!"

He might know what he is talking about with respect to there being a water shortage......duh!...but that is about it.

The man was a reporter...what the heck does he know about engineering? How is he in ANY way qualified for the ministerial position he currently holds?

There seems to be a serious misconception People's Front of Judea. Perhaps you should venture to the PLP's office and pick up a profile package or perhaps you should visit the PLP website.

FYI: Minister Ashfield DeVent was and studied as an engineer by profession. Where do you get that he was a reporter? I certainly hope not the Royal Gazette!

Let me retract an earlier statement that I directed towards People's Front of Judea. Minister DeVent was a reporter of written press, however he did have training as an engineer but shifted career paths.

I apologize and hope that this clarifies my point!

Dame...

I hate to say it - but I think you are having a conversation with yourself.

Maybe it was your first point that did it.

DotD

Perhaps you would kind enough to provide a link to the specific PLP web page with Mr. DeVent's bio?

Beside the question of his credentials, I'm wondering if the notation "EX" cannbis smoker has been substantiated?? This is your brain on drugs????

Ashfield DeVent was last seen practising his bartending skills. One part Gin......
