Fumbling
So, Garry, any truth to those reports that you failed to act on a recommendation to install fire suppression equipment in the switching room that caught fire?
“I think the important thing is this report, that analysis, that investigation that’s what that investigation will raise. And that’s the whole aspect of it, to get it from someone who is independent to complete the review of what was in place, what wasn’t in place, what happened, and so we know factually, exactly what took place, how it took place and some causes and then we will remark from there.”
Well, a simple "yes" would have sufficed.

"Fumbling". Good choice Phil. He is the Head Coach. Now he wants 'time out'. Lord have mercy on a boy from down in the BOON docks. Hell he's my cousin. I will have a few choice words with him, and they won't be HIS choice.
Now, lets get back to basics.
Bring it on. Enquiries? Yes, dam it.

I think Gary should get ready to retire. This sounds like it will be the swan song.
He had a good innings...

Classic. Would you like some syrup with your Waffle? (Please don't turn off my power.)

That's the best example of "bovine excretia" I have seen in years.
They should inscribe that on his retirement clock.

Overly verbose would be putting it mildly..... :)

"Fumbling". Mr. Limey!. Your heading should have been 'Mumbling'. I have read Gary's part statement over and over again.
Now, you buys no me. Do I talk like that?
Here is a Man with degrees (hot one terry), making statements under pressure(woops). I can call him names and say he failed but, just have to remember he is not there 24/7, thats why he has a payroll. Unforntunately this has become a world wide trait.
Economic stress and duress has ben placed on us all.
I always remind myself in times of terpitude,(cousin of centipede) why the St. David Islanders always overcome. (and yes, the West End galls and buoys too).
It's the Fortitude and Gratitiude and attitude and not being RUDE and all those tudes that have kept them going.
My ole cousin (Victor O'connor) -(he said he was my cousin)- Just wunnted some of my Mudders Rayed bein soop,-sayed, "eef you want dem to cum, jast give dem sun cunch ain rhum. Dey ville.
What a great Man, and all his Clan.
It will come out in the wash, we just don't need that much Backwash right now.
Not being a weed smokin person, or one on drugs, (if you can call three Slitz lights day Drugs), I say, Stop the Mumbling and fumbling, lets rumble and tumble for the better.
You know me, gonna have a cup of tea.
Ps. I am 55 years old, and I am looking forward to when that plan comes togather. Hell, I never thought I would make it this far.
I look for roses and smell them when I can find them. Do you?

Typical Bermuda attitude, blame whomever you think at the time is at fault. In a few days it won't matter you all will be on to another subject. Why don't you get this wound up about government corruption, crime, drugs, etc., things that affect your future and your wallet. If Garry is found accountable then he should be held accountable. Spend time on solutions to problems not whining and looking for someone to blame.

Hawk,
You landed on the wrong thread. The blame games over at "Blackout". This one's strictly reserved for taking the mic out of Gary's mouth. :)

First time reading the site, eh, Hawk? ;-)

Been there, done that.
One week without "Racial Politics" would be a welcome breather.
I'm amazed no-one tried to turn "Blackout" into a racial thread! Especially with that header.
oops.....

Does anyone know what happened yet? What provided the fuel for the fire?

Rumor has it that the Regiment is going to take over the guarding of BELCO's facilities...it has not been since the Fish Sandwich Wars of 1952 since they have been called upon. What will this do to tourism? Colonel Johnny "Stovepipe" Williams would be turning over in his grave. There are so many better uses for the Regiment! What are your thoughts?

"There are so many better uses for the Regiment! "
Like rioting?
