In anticipation of winning the first caption competition, I orignally wrote two acceptance speeches, this was the first time I had to write an acceptance speech so I raced down to the book store and purchased "How to write accptance speeches 101", imagine my surprise when come that monday morning, I did not win, I didn't even place for an Honourable mention, what would I so with my speeches?
I had to win, how else would I get to use them, a whole Sunday wasted pouring over some silly book and writing not one, but two speeches, ( as advised by the book) On short, one long, the book also advised that I should weave a warm and wonderful story, that would tug on the heart strings of every one that hears it (or in our case reads it)
I am presented with a bit of a problem as I can't see the readers of this site, I have no idea which one you are all in the mood for do I go with the long or the short?....
Ok I'm going with the short one:
Thank you.
....ok actually since I may never win this again I'm going to give you the long one as well:
Thank you all, very much.

wait to you hear this next part...." You are very welcome! I laughed heartily at not just the humour but because it was so well crafted. Very funny indeed.
