Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning.

Huh?

It's the pink ones you need to worry about.

Don't worry, ace, it took me a while to work it out too. :-)

"Elephant in the room" is an English idiom for an extremely obvious fact or question that for convenience's sake one party chooses to ignore.

In this case, the elephant can be whatever you want it to be (65% opposition to independence, low school graduation rates, etc).

Ace: elephants never forget...now grab a coffee

Looks like Limey and I interpreted it differently.

Ha ha! Gee this should be the Gov'ment's Logo!

Honestly, I just wanted to draw an elephant.

But, yeah, Limey has it right. There's so many other, far more important, things that Bermuda should be dealing with, but we still get the "Hey, look over here at this!", like we're all gonna be, like, "Well, the people need affordable housing and tourism needs... OOOH! BUTTERFLY!"

Thanks Phil. All coffeed up now. :-)

When I first saw it I thought "surely that elephant should be 'white'" as in a 'white elephant'". Not a race based thing...but in terms of a white elephant meaning useless information designed to distract from other issues...I suppose it amounts to the same as an elephant in the room then.

Goodness...too much brain strain required on that one for a Saturday morning.

lol

We have our own budding Political Cartoonist, I think its great, Keep up the great work Uncle Elvis!!!

Fraz...

Elephants don't forget...because they have anything to remember.

Umm-umm...did it crush the 800 lbs gorilla?
