"Getting Bermuda Drinking"
Have a drink for me guys, enjoy!

As the saying goes, I'll be there with bells on... unless it's chilly. Then, I'll wear something warmer.
Be there 'round 6-ish.

Mebbe our deepundercoveroperative Bud will show up to add some jolly hijinks to the eveningby further epitomizing the phrase 'only in Bermuda'.

I'll be there as well...with the provision that Uncle Elvis wears something more then bells as that would be unattractive to say the least.
Posted by Two Cents on 20.12.05 at 11:08
Just for that, I'm wearing the bells, coldness be damned!

A while ago Dale Butler wrote a column 'called you know you're Bermudian when'. One of the bullets was - You know you're Bermudian when you wouldn't be caught dead in Robin Hood.
Posted by blovator on 20.12.05 at 17:41
On a couple of occasions, in the very old days, ie: college weeks, this Bermudian has appeared "dead", if the dead have that stupid drunken passed out thing going that is, at the Robin Hood. Yet only to return within hours for the "Morning After Plate" piled high with good ole greasy eggs, sausage, bacon, beans and fried bread.
Not a good combination I admit but heck, if I was going to suffer, everyone else could suffer with me.
Bottoms up I say and a happy holiday toast to all.

Blovator,
When it comes to drinking establishments in Bermuda, I am pretty sure Dale Butler wouldn't know his @#$hole from a crab hole.
Unless you count his "job" at MEF, I believe his position is "Immigration Insurance" aka "Look We Hired a Bermudian"
Had a great time at Robin Hood, a few good laughs and a good chat.

Hey that was good to meet everyone that came, and see people in person that was there the last time.
Until the next time...

Had a blast last night. Thanks, all.
It kills me how many people I actually know!
Bastards. You could have dropped hints!
Anyway. Great time. Let's do it again... somewhere quiet!

:-)
Was a fun get together. Full Fullish, Loki and I almost came to "fisticuffs" but luckily for FF loki and I were feeling the Christmas Spirit and decided not to pound him. hehe

Ha ha. Yes, it was quite funny how the undercurrents of testiness emerged at times, but it was a useful conversation. In my book, any conversation that ends with one side saying, "you've said some things that make me want to research the issue further", and the other side agreeing to respectfully disagree, is good in my book. Graeme's howling arrival was suitably appropriate, as well. My only regret is that we didn't get to see a Galt v 'Happy Clappy' (TM) Elvis bitchslap fight. Oh, well.

Ha, Oh so that's who you too are online! Pound on me? Come on, I was holding my own with a 2 on 3 argument there! :)
It was a good conversation, even if you aren't intellegent enough to side with me. (Ha!)
I still wish that Bud had the brass balls to show up. Although I think Santa should leave Phil a Christmas present, 6-pack of Bud-lights of course.

Galt,
loki is constantly on at me for being too "Happy Clappy" and trying to appease people, your good self not included. *grin*
Enjoy your Christmas, Channuka, Kwanzaa etc. everyone.
