Time warp
I'd just like to apologise for the problems which resulted in A Limey In Bermuda being stuck in a time warp for most of today.
The odd behaviour was caused by a failure in the primary disk system of TypePad, the service that hosts this blog. Every TypePad-hosted blog was affected, not just this one. While they were restoring their users' data, they displayed backup versions of all blogs as of last Saturday morning.
Earlier this year TypePad struggled with some severe performance problems, but today's outage was their most serious by far. I sincerely hope that it won't happen again.

Thanks for the heads-up. I am republishing all pages on the site now so hopefully everything will be back to normal very soon.
You may need to SHIFT + Refresh though.
